Customers can add a hire date and their delivery street and city to confirm prices and availability in real time.
We have researched other online stores we like and modeled our system to emulate the best parts while adding a rental functionality which is simple for your customers to use.
Our checkout is low friction and guides customers through their transaction in a simple to use way.
If a customer starts a booking but for some reason does not fully confirm with payment, we have strategies in place through email and sms to bring them back to your store and complete the process

It's really easy to add packages in RentalMagnet.
There is no practical limit to how many items can be added to make packages and we keep track of every last detail so individual items or parts related to other packaged items can't be oversold.
Packages also have independent pricing, so you can add discounts for combining groups of items together as a single sale item.
You can also add items that are not for sale online by themselves to packages so people are unable to hire something that will not work on it's own.
These packages share the jukebox unit, but we sell different speakers depending which package they choose.
In our own rental store you cannot rent the jukebox unit online on it's own.
Adding your rental items to RentalMagnet is easy.
We recommend having at least 3 good, clear images of your product but you can add many, many more if you choose.
Because we use html code inside the item description, you can add Youtube videos and external links and information easily as well.
Items have their own price and you can choose if they are available to rent through the online store or only available through staff bookings.
Out item tracking means that on any date you are sure to never overbook. If something is sold out, it cannot be double booked. Simple!
Quick quoting saves time by providing an easy way to send and follow up pricing enquiries for small jobs.
In your administration panel, open the quoting tab.
Choose 'New Quote-'
The only information you need to include is the proposed delivery and collection date, customer's first name and either an email or cell phone number.
Add your products in the cart function and hit 'send'
The software will bring up the outgoing SMS or email message so you can quickly verify and adjust any details before sending.
An SMS will send a link url to your prepared quote.
The email may include more details if you choose.
The customer receives a nicely presented quote, with an allowance included for delivery all done automatically from your inbuilt rules.
If they accept your quote, they are prompted to add any missing details needed to confirm the booking as well as making a payment online to confirm.
If there is a problem, they have an option to message you to revise the quote. Maybe the date is incorrect or they have questions about delivery? It is really easy to keep in touch with your clients using this system.
If they don't do anything, the system will send reminders at set intervals to remind them of their pending booking and that they might miss out if they don't book before the quote expires.
Using this reminder system in our business more than 90% of jobs were confirmed shortly after the first reminder is sent. This is a very powerful feature and is completely automated.

We have integrated Google Maps directly inside our system and we know exactly how far we need to drive to make a delivery.
So what? You ask....
This means we KNOW how much a delivery costs. So we know what to charge.
With this integration as soon as an address is added, the system calculates the distance from your home base and sets the delivery charge automatically.
This works for back end bookings and quotes created by admin, and also online bookings.
We also added some clever code that offers your online customers a minimum value to send for free delivery. This adds significant extra value to many jobs.
People love 'FREE' offers and will spend more with you to reach that target.
When we set up your system we will find a good formula to match your location, fuel prices, vehicle and staff expenses so this works for you.
Cart Recovery - an advanced feature that has never been offered in a rental CRM before.
We have designed the flow of the online booking cart to confirm customer email and telephone details and log them in the system prior to asking for payment.
This way we know our prospects details and can make offers directly to their email or phone via sms to recover the booking.
It's a good idea to send more information about the products in their cart, maybe add some recommendations or endorsements from other customers to reassure them their online booking is safe, secure and guaranteed. We can set this up to happen automatically.
We recommend a maximum of two follow-up contacts per order.
A great way to bring up your order value is to offer related items.
But.... it gets in the way of the cart process. Its always better to secure the original booking items and lock the job in as easily as possible.
RentalMagnet learns which items are frequently rented together and can make a recommendation to your customer based on their purchases.
Our favourite place to make the customer aware of other things they might like is on their invoice/receipt from their first order.
People always check their receipts so they will always see your offer. And they can click through directly to the product information and check out the pricing and availability.

The accounting dashboard keeps track of due dates for customer payments and creates alerts for late payments.
We have a basic 2 way integration with Xero accounting with plans to add more in the future depending which accounting systems our customers are already using.
RentalMagnet reconciles transactions paid from it's own initiated credit card payments, and will also allow payments to be reconciled manually from bank or cash payments.
The 2 way integration sends and receives payment data and customer information so you can be sure it matches your balances in your accounting system automatically.
We have 3 separate tax account types so we can report sales of hire/rental, labour and sales for your bookings as the payments are made.
Deposits.... there is no better way to secure a booking than asking for a fee to lock in a date.
Online bookings have a rule where clients can pay a percentage up front (we recommend 20%) to hold their booking and date. They can pay in full if they choose.
When the job date approaches, we remind them of the booking balance and send the invoice and payment methods automatically.
The percentages and timing is entirely flexible within your account. You choose the rules for % and for how long before payment is due.
We also recommend renaming the deposit to a 'booking fee' to avoid last minute cancellations asking for refunds. Nobody likes to have a client commit to a job and pull out last minute, but sometimes it happens. This is a great way to minimise some of the losses.
Quotes created by admin users can have any deposit amount, due date and rules you choose for any booking you make.
We have default values in place but they can be adjusted for each job manually.

Guess what? Nobody sat down and wrote that message. It was automated from the Rentalmagnet system and triggered with our automation BEFORE the customer begins calling to check when we will deliver.
The only thing we did was log in to our calendar and plan our delivery run. The rest happened with smart automation. (See our calendar integration tab for more information)
We also get in touch with customers generally 10 days out from their booking (it can be adjusted to your needs) with a message when to expect our delivery times and how they will receive it.
Every confirmed booking made with RentalMagnet is sent to a Google Calendar. This can be viewed by sharing the link with relevant people. Great for keeping staff informed of upcoming early mornings or late nights.
Our favourite part of using the calendar is how we move the bookings around a couple of days early to help plan our deliveries. (Only let certain people change the calendar though!!)
All deliveries and collection times are added automatically as they are created, and the important details are listed like location, contact numbers, equipment and labour description and importantly any special instructions.
This way it is easy to plan the best route, vehicle loading, timing and to accommodate special times that are needed.
Once this is completed, the delivery reminders are sent automatically and you have a very busy and organised day planned, all with a few simple clicks of the mouse on the calendar.
Rentalmagnet.app takes very seriously the personal information collected and that is why we have a password policy in place for any booking created.
As a booking is made for a new client with any potentially sensitive information, a password is sent to their registered email. They will need this password to view, alter or make payments on their booking.
The password cannot be changed by the customer to avoid any low security combinations being used.
A customer can have a new password sent to their email at any time if they lose their old one so there are no delays or complications recovering old passwords.
